Move To Learn
Before we ask children to sit still and learn, let’s understand what their bodies need.
Practical education and movement workshops for childcare centres, schools, and parents — helping you better understand children’s regulation needs and explore ways to support them in everyday life.
Understand what might be happening. Discover practical strategies. Feel more equipped to support the children in your care.
Do you feel like…
You’re doing your best. But the strategies aren’t always landing.
Perhaps there are children in your classroom who find it difficult to settle, focus, or move between activities — and you’re unsure what’s behind it.
Maybe you’ve tried different approaches, but the constant trial and error is leaving you feeling stretched.
Or you’re seeing it at home: big emotions after school, difficult mealtimes, and a child who struggles to wind down.
You want to understand more. And you want practical ideas you can use in the moments that matter.
Move to Learn starts with understanding the body behind the behaviour.
The Approach
When a child struggles to settle, it can be difficult to know what they need or how to help.
Move to Learn explores sensory systems, movement, and regulation in clear, accessible language — connecting the education with practical activities for your setting.
The aim is to help the adults around children feel more informed, more confident, and better equipped to respond - With understanding you can put into practice
Education that makes sense
Explore how children’s sensory systems and bodies respond to everyday experiences, and what may be happening when settling feels difficult.
The education component is available in person or online.
A hands-on movement workshop
Explore movement activities and physical strategies that can be adapted for the classroom, outdoor play, or home.
An opportunity to put the ideas into practice and ask questions along the way.
Resources to keep using
Take-home activity cards, guides, and reference materials help you revisit the learning and bring it into everyday routines.
